Introduction
Many forms of removable storage mediums have come and gone, and not many have had a huge install base that can be considered a de facto standard. However, CD-ReWriters have established themselves so rampantly with falling prices of drives, media and recently, an acceleration of their technological development in drive speeds and reliability.

Yamaha has always filled in strong candidates in every evolutionary development, and today, their CRW2200E drive is about to show us where the company has not gone before.

In keeping up with the market wants and needs, Yamaha has again outdone themselves to deliver not only a 20X recorder, but also equipped it with their own strain of 'Burn-Proof' technology along with a generous 8MB cache buffer.

The keen competition is keeping these manufacturers on their toes, always aware that each product release will have to deliver unprecedented value and quality, or bleeding-edge performance. Let us see if the CRW2200E burner will live up to all these.
