Introduction


You know a good thing when you see it



This review not only focuses on the latest flagship product at Gateway Inc., but also represents Intel’s next generation processor architecture.

Despite the wealth of experience Intel has acquired with the unveiling of new processor architectures, the pressure of recent hiccups and follies, as well as the dramatized war against nifty AMD is proving too much for herself and the industry to bear.

A successful splash launch for the Pentium 4 will catapult the company back into leadership in processor technology and regain its slowly eroding market share. The gravity of the matter – it is make or break for Intel.

In the past month or so, we have only seen leaked benchmark scores, performance speculations as well as impressive demonstrations at the Intel Developers' Forum. But the day has finally dawned for the unveiling of Intel’s glimmer and hope. The truth shall be told. Hang on….
